【摘要】:1.1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminingtheIzodimpactstrengthofplasticsunderdefinedconditions.Anumberofdifferenttypesofspecimenandtestconfigurationsaredefined.Differenttestparametersarespecifiedaccordingtothetypeofmaterial,thetypeoftestspecimenandthetypeofnotch.1.2Themethodisusedtoinvestigatethebehaviourofspecifiedtypesofspecimenundertheimpactconditionsdefinedandforestimatingthebrittlenessortoughnessofspecimenswithinthelimitationsinherentinthetestconditions.1.3Themethodissuitableforusewiththefollowingrangeofmaterials:—rigidthermoplasticmouldingandextrusionmaterials,includingfilledandreinforcedcompoundsinadditiontounfilledtypes;rigidthermoplasticssheets;—rigidthermosettingmouldingmaterials,includingfilledandreinforcedcompounds;rigidthermosettingsheets,includinglaminates;—fibre-reinforcedthermosettingandthermoplasticcompositesincorporatingunidirectionalornon-unidirectionalreinforcementssuchasmat,wovenfabrics,wovenrovings,choppedstrands,combinationandhybridreinforcements,rovingsandmilledfibresandsheetmadefrompre-impregnatedmaterials(prepregs);—thermotropicliquid-crystalpolymers.1.4Themethodisnotnormallysuitableforusewithrigidcellularmaterialsandsandwichstructurescontainingcellularmaterial.Also,notchedspecimensarenotnormallyusedforlong-fibre-reinforcedcompositesorthermotropicliquid-crystalpolymers.1.5Themethodissuitedtotheuseofspecimenswhichmaybeeithermouldedtothechosendimensions,machinedfromthecentralportionofastandardmultipurposetestspecimen(seeISO3167)ormachinedfromfinishedorsemifinishedproductssuchasmouldings,laminatesandextrudedorcastsheet.1.6Themethodspecifiespreferreddimensionsforthetestspecimen.Testswhicharecarriedoutonspecimensofdifferentdimensionsorwithdifferentnotches,orspecimenswhicharepreparedunderdifferentconditions,mayproduceresultswhicharenotcomparable.Otherfactors,suchastheenergycapacityoftheapparatus,itsimpactvelocityandtheconditioningofthespecimenscanalsoinfluencetheresults.Consequently,whencomparativedataarerequired,thesefactorsmustbecarefullycontrolledandrecorded.1.7Themethodshouldnotbeusedasasourceofdatafordesigncalculations.Informationonthetypicalbehaviourofamaterialcanbeobtained,however,bytestingatdifferenttemperatures,byvaryingthenotchradiusand/orthethicknessandbytestingspecimenspreparedunderdifferentconditions.
